Columbus High hosted a track and field invite on Friday at Pawnee Park. The Discoverers boys finished third out of six teams, while the CHS girls were fourth in a five-team field.
Dylan Crumley won a gold medal in the boys long jump. He had a leap of 22-feet-one-and-a-half inches, which was third-best in school history and only four-and-a-half inches off the school record.
Columbus girls who finished first included Elizabeth Wemhoff in the 200-meter dash, Josie Garrett in the 100-meter hurdles, Joselyn Olson in the long jump and Ashton Thoms in the shot put.
