Discoverers Boys Soccer Heading to State Tournament

The Columbus High boys soccer team is heading to the state tournament for the first time since 2019.

In last night’s A-4 district title match, the number-2 seed Discoverers won 2-0 at top-seeded Millard South.  CHS improved to 10-4 and will play in a Class A quarterfinal next Monday at Morrison Stadium in Omaha.  The opponent and kickoff time will be determined after the conclusion of other district finals tonight.

Meanwhile, the Columbus girls fell at number-1 seed Omaha Westside 3-0 in last night’s A-5 district final.  The Discoverers are 10-6 and their only chance of a trip to state is to earn the lone wildcard spot in the Class A tourney.
