Discoverers Basketball Teams Beaten by Bearcats

Both Columbus High basketball teams suffered losses at Kearney High Saturday.
The Discoverers were downed by the Bearcats 59-27. It was the ninth straight loss for Columbus, which dropped to 5-15.
The CHS girls were edged 46-43 in overtime. The contest was tied at 41-all in regulation, with Kearney out-scoring the Discoverers 5-2 in the extra period. Ayla Janssen had 12 points to lead Columbus, which fell to 7-14.
