Discoverers Baseball Team Blows Big Lead at Blair

Columbus High’s baseball team was stunned in a 5-4 loss at Blair on Saturday. 

The Discoverers led 4-0 entering the bottom of the seventh inning.  But, the Bears rallied for five runs and a walkoff win. 

Colin Flyr pitched into the seventh inning for CHS.  He allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits with one walk and nine strikeouts.  Flyr was also 3-for-3 at the plate and scored three runs. 

Columbus will take a 5-6 record into its home game tonight against Omaha Westside.  First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at Pawnee Park Field.
