Discoverers Baseball Records Two Wins in Lincoln

Columbus High’s baseball team won a pair of games in Lincoln on Saturday. 

The Discoverers outslugged Lincoln North Star 11-9, before cruising to a 13-3 victory in five innings over Lincoln High.  Wyatt Swanson helped lead Columbus to the win over the Navigators, as he was 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two runs and a stolen base. 

In the win over the Links, Kael Forney was 2-for-2 with a double, homer and four RBI and Spencer Shotkoski went 3-for-3 with a double, triple and drove in three runs. 

CHS has won three straight games and is now 4-6.  The Discoverers will face Fremont tomorrow in the first round of the Heartland Athletic Conference tournament in Lincoln.
