Discoverers Baseball Posts Win at Waverly

Columbus High’s baseball team won at Waverly 4-2 last night.
Brent Beard and Colin Flyr each had two hits and an RBI, with Beard also scoring a run for CHS. Starter Tadan Bell got the win for the Discoverers by pitching 3-and-a-third hitless innings, allowing one walk and striking out seven. Trey Kobza worked the final 3-and-two-thirds innings, surrendering six hits and two runs – one earned.
Columbus is now 6-7. The Discoverers will travel to Lincoln North Star to play the Navigators and Lincoln High on Saturday.
