Discoverers Baseball Club Pounded by Knights

Columbus High’s baseball team suffered a 14-5 home loss to Lincoln Southeast yesterday evening. 

The Knights scored six runs in the top of the first inning.  The Discoverers erupted for five runs in the bottom of the fourth to pull within one, but Southeast tallied twice in the fifth and iced the contest with a six-run sixth. 

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Discoverers, who are now 13-11.  CHS will visit Elkhorn South tomorrow and then play at Lincoln Pius X on Friday night.
