This week’s boys state basketball tournament is still set to be played as scheduled despite the coronavirus.

Governor Pete Ricketts yesterday called it premature to recommend shutting down big gatherings in the state. And NSAA Executive Director Jay Bellar said the tourney will go on unless there are new concerns by the state health department or others in state government.

Bellar also told the Omaha World-Herald there will be hand sanitizing stations at all sites for teams and fans.

Humphrey St. Francis fans can hear the Flyers’ games on KLIR 101, while 93.5 The Hawk will air contests involving Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, Fullerton and St. Paul.
