Mike Dawson will rejoin the Nebraska football staff to coach NU’s outside linebackers.  The school announced today that Dawson will fill the assistant coach position that opened this month when Jovan Dewitt left for North Carolina.

Dawson rejoins the Huskers after spending last season coaching outside linebackers for the New York Giants. He coached Nebraska’s defensive line in 2018, the same role he had the previous two years on Scott Frost’s staff at Central Florida.

NU also announced the contracts for assistant coaches Greg Austin, Travis Fisher and Ryan Held were extended through 2021.
