Nebraska twin defensive linemen Khalil and Carlos Davis were both selected in the NFL draft on Saturday, while two other former Blackshirts have reportedly signed free agent deals.

Khalil Davis was the first Husker selected, taken by Tampa Bay in the sixth round.  Carlos, the older of the Davis twins by five minutes, was chosen by Pittsburgh in the seventh round.

After NU’s 56-year streak of having at least one player drafted was snapped last year, Nebraska’s  two draft picks this year were its most since four Huskers were selected in 2016.

After not hearing their name called in this year’s draft, defensive lineman Darrion Daniels and cornerback Lamar Jackson signed free agent deals, according to multiple media reports.  Daniels signed with San Francisco, while Jackson will try to make the New York Jets roster.
