The College World Series starts today at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.  If the CWS is like the first two rounds of the NCAA baseball tournament, fans in the outfield seats are going to take home lots of souvenir balls.

The 424 home runs hit in the regionals and super regionals were a tournament record.  The question is whether sluggers from the eight CWS teams can keep up the pace in the spacious ballpark in downtown Omaha.

In Bracket 1 today, Texas A&M meets Oklahoma at 1 p.m. and Texas faces Notre Dame at 6 p.m.  Bracket 2 openers tomorrow match Stanford against Arkansas and Ole Miss vs. Auburn.
