CWS Field Set; This Weekend’s Matchups

The field for the College World Series is set. 

Mississippi State advanced to its third straight CWS with an 11-7 victory over Notre Dame in the deciding game of their super regional last night.  Earlier on Monday, Virginia got by Dallas Baptist 5-2 as the Cavaliers staved off elimination for the sixth time in eight NCAA Tournament games. 

The College World Series starts on Saturday, with Stanford vs. NC State at 1 p.m. and Vanderbilt taking on Arizona at 6 p.m.  Sunday’s games pit Tennessee against Virginia at 1 and Texas vs. Mississippi State at 6.
