CWS Action Monday: Aggies 2-0, Gators Stay Alive

In Monday’s College World Series action, Texas A&M jumped into the Bracket 2 driver’s seat with a 5-1 win over Kentucky last night. 

Aggies starter Ryan Prager held the Wildcats hitless into the seventh inning, as A&M is 2-0 in the CWS for the first time in eight all-time appearances. 

In an elimination game, Jac Caglione broke Florida’s single-season home run record with a three-run shot in the second inning and the Gators edged NC State 5-4. 

Two elimination games are on tap in Omaha today.  North Carolina faces Florida State at 1 p.m. and Kentucky takes on Florida at 6 p.m.
