CU Women’s Hoops Wins, Ranked Just Ahead of NU

The Creighton women’s basketball club rolled to a 91-34 win over Missouri Western in its exhibition opener last night. 

Bluejays juniors Morgan Maly and Lauren Jensen combined for 40 points.

Earlier on Wednesday, Creighton was ranked 21st – one spot ahead of Nebraska – in the USA Today preseason coaches poll. 

The Huskers open exhibition play on Sunday against Washburn.  Tipoff at Pinnacle Bank Arena is set for 1 p.m.
