As Creighton prepares to face the nation’s top team in unbeaten Gonzaga, the Bluejays are seen as big underdogs.
The fifth-seeded Jays opened as a 13.5-point underdog in most sportsbooks. One reason may be the tournament performance of Gonzaga’s underrated big man Drew Timme.
With teammates like Corey Kispert and Jalen Suggs, it could be easy to overlook Timme, if you can get past his fu manchu. Not so much after his two standout games in the big dance, including a career-high 30 point, 13-rebound effort Monday against Oklahoma.
The Bluejays meet the Bulldogs Sunday at 1:10 p.m. on CBS.
