CU Men’s Basketball Officially Adds Duke Transfer

The Creighton men’s basketball club officially added Duke transfer Alex O’Connell today. 

The 6-foot-6 guard from Roswell, Georgia will have to sit out next season and will have one season of eligibility with the Bluejays. 

O’Connell played in 101 games for Duke over the previous three seasons, including 14 starts. Six of those starts came last season, when he set career-bests by averaging 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. 

O’Connell had a decorated prep career at Milton High School, where he was ranked in the nation’s top 100 recruits by Rivals.com, Scout.com and ESPN.com.
