Crossroads Conference Basketball Tourneys Move Into Semifinals

In the Crossroads Conference basketball tournaments at York, two area boys teams advanced to Thursday’s semifinals with wins on Monday. 

Cross County beat High Plains 62-37, while Osceola held off BDS 56-48.  In the semifinals, the Cougars meet No. 1 seed McCool Junction, which downed East Butler 65-24, and the Bulldogs face Nebraska Lutheran, which defeated Shelby-Rising City 57-33. 

Both games Thursday will be aired on 93.5 The Hawk. 

One girls semifinal is on The Hawk tonight at 6 p.m.  Top-seeded Cross County will take on High Plains.  The Cougars routed Nebraska Lutheran 64-39 last night.  The Storm edged Shelby-Rising City 32-30 Monday afternoon. 

Also yesterday, girls No. 3 seed Osceola was upset by Dorchester 49-25.
