Creighton Volleyball Goes 1-1 in Tourney at Houston

Creighton’s volleyball club closed non-conference play with a five-set loss on Sunday against Rice in the championship match of a tournament hosted by the Owls.
The Bluejays fell 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 14-16. CU slipped to 8-3. The Jays had picked up a 3-1 victory over Kansas State on Saturday in Houston.
Creighton will open its Big East schedule by hosting Georgetown on Friday. First serve at D.J. Sokol Arena is set for 6:30 p.m.
