Creighton Baseball Players Earn Top Postseason Honors

Two Creighton baseball players collected the top individual Big East postseason honors today.

Junior Dylan Tebrake is the conference’s pitcher of the year for a second straight season.  Sophomore first baseman Alan Roden is the league’s co-player of the year.

Tebrake and Bluejays junior outfielder Jared Wegner were both unanimous selections to the All-Big East First Team.  Roden, who shared player of the year honors with Luke Franzoni of Xavier, was selected to the all-conference second team.  Joining Roden on that team were a pair of Creighton juniors: second baseman Andrew Meggs and closer Tommy Steier.

The Bluejays open Big East tournament play Thursday against Xavier. First pitch in Mason, Ohio has been moved up to 1:30 p.m. in an attempt to evade poor weather.
