COVID Vaccination Of General Population Could Begin As Soon As April

LINCOLN- Nebraska has updated it’s vaccine phasing guidelines as the state continues to vaccinate Phase 1B.

According to Deputy Director of Epidemiology for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Felicia Quintana-Zinn, the state is expecting to move to vaccinating the general population in April or May…

Quintana-Zinn says mortality data shows that 97% of COVID-19 deaths in the state occurred to Nebraskans 50 years and older. As of Thursday morning, 303,463 doses have been administered with 6.5% of the population being vaccinated.
