Tadan Bell came within one out of pitching a complete-game no-hitter last night, leading the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors to a 4-1 win over Kearney at Pawnee Park Legion Field. 

Bell notched 17 strikeouts in 6.2 innings and reliever Preston Hastreiter recorded the final out of a combined no-hitter with an 18th K.  Cornerstone’s fifth straight win upped its record to 5-1. 

Meanwhile, the Junior Blues fell 3-1 in eight innings, slipping to 0-2.  Both Columbus teams will visit Grand Island tonight.
