Cornerstone vs. Lincoln Northeast in Senior Legion State Tourney

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors will take on host team Lincoln Northeast Saturday in the opening round of the Class A National Division state tournament. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Den Hartog Field. 

The tourney bracket, released yesterday afternoon, has the winner of that game playing again at 7 p.m. Sunday against the winner of Saturday’s game between Millard North and Creighton Prep.  The losers of those two first round games will meet at 1 p.m. on Sunday. 

Cornerstone went 2-2 in the A6 senior area tournament.  Lincoln Northeast also went 2-2 in that tourney, including a 10-5 win over Columbus last Saturday.
