Cornerstone Seniors Win, Junior Blues Fall at Norfolk

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors claimed a 9-1 win at Norfolk last night. 

Bentley Willison went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored.  Juri Rivera had three hits, including a double, driving in a run and scoring three times.  Cornerstone starter Ryan Eickhoff allowed one run on four hits over 5.1 innings, with no walks and nine strikeouts.  Connor Rausch got the final two outs as Cornerstone improved to 4-3.  The Seniors play at Grand Island tomorrow night. 

The OneUnited Federal Credit Union Junior Blues fell to Norfolk 7-3.  The Junior Blues’ second loss in as many nights dropped their record to 1-2.  Next up is a home game against Lincoln North Star Sunday at 5 p.m.
