Cornerstone Seniors Win in Extra Innings at Blair

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors snapped a two-game losing skid with a 4-3 win in eight innings at Blair on Saturday. 

Wyatt Swanson led Cornerstone with three hits and two RBI.  Columbus improved to 6-3 on the season.  Both Columbus teams are set to welcome Hastings to Pawnee Park Legion Field tomorrow.  First pitch for the One United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues game is set for 5 p.m. Cornerstone’s contest will follow around 7:30. 

Lakeview’s American Legion baseball teams will be in action at Pawnee Park tonight, but against different opponents.  The Owens Wealth Advisors Junior Reds will host David City at 5:30 p.m.  First pitch is set for 8 p.m. for the Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors’ game against Wisner/Pilger-Howells/Dodge.
