The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors will host Grand Island in a doubleheader today.  First pitch of the opening game at Pawnee Park Field is set for 5 p.m. 

Cornerstone is coming off an impressive sweep of a home twinbill against Lexington on Saturday.  Columbus’ Seniors won both games in five innings by scores of 14-4 and 15-0. 

In the opener, shortstop Cody Zrust used a double and a triple to drive in five runs.  Center fielder Tanner Kobza went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs.  And starter Tyler Wessel pitched four scoreless innings. 

In the second game, Kaden Young pitched the five-inning shutout, allowing just one hit and two walks, while striking out ten.  He also had three hits, including a pair of doubles and three RBI. Cole Wilcox went 2-for-3, scoring three runs and knocking in one as Cornerstone evened its season record at 3-3.
