Cornerstone Seniors Sweep South Sioux City
The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors won both ends of a doubleheader at Pawnee Park Field last night, but in totally different fashion.
In the opener, Caleb Van Dyke delivered the last of Cornerstone’s 17 hits to drive in a run in the bottom of the seventh inning and lift the Seniors to an 11-10 walk-off win over South Sioux City. In the nightcap, Ryan Eickhoff tossed a five-inning one-hitter as Columbus cruised to a 13-0 victory.
Cornerstone is 12-7 on the season and will visit Fremont for a twinbill on Sunday.
