Cornerstone Hopes to Duplicate Junior Blues vs. SSC

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors will host South Sioux City in a doubleheader today.  First pitch times at Pawnee Park Field are set for 5 and 7:30 p.m. 

Last night, the Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues swept a twinbill at South Sioux City.  In the opener, the Junior Blues banged out 15 hits and Nick Zoucha had five RBI in a 12-3 win. 

In the nightcap, Wyatt Swanson and Bentley Willison combined on a five-inning, one-hitter to lead Columbus to a 12-0 romp.  The Junior Blues improved to 7-10 on the season. 

Both of Lakeview’s American Legion baseball teams play at Battle Creek tonight.
