Cornerstone Falls to Millard West in State Tourney Semifinals

The postseason run ended for the Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors last night. Cornerstone was downed by Millard West 10-2 in the semifinals of the Senior Legion Class A National Division state tournament at Den Hartog Field.
Drew Borner led off the game with a home run off Columbus starter Ryan Eickhoff. Borner wound up going 3-for-4 with three RBI, three runs and had one of Millard West’s five stolen bases. Cody Zrust and Wyatt Swanson each had an RBI single for Cornerstone, which was limited to five hits in a complete-game effort by Ben David.
Columbus went 2-2 in Lincoln and finished the season with a 22-11 record.
