Cornell Leaves Creighton to Lead Nebraska Men’s Golf

Former Nebraska men’s golfer and assistant coach Judd Cornell is returning to Lincoln to lead Nebraska’s golf program. NU athletics director Trev Alberts announced the hire on Thursday.

Cornell is back with the Huskers after spending the past three seasons as the head coach at Creighton.  He’s a 2007 Nebraska graduate who later spent six seasons on NU’s coaching staff before heading to Creighton.

Creighton chopped more than 10 shots per round off its team scoring average during Cornell’s three years as the Bluejays’ head coach.
