Cook: Husker Volleyball in Midst of a “Three-Week Season”

Nebraska will square off against Illinois in volleyball for the third time this season tonight.  The Huskers and Fighting Illlini meet in the regional semifinal in Austin, Texas.

NU swept Illinois in both of their regular season matches.  But coach John Cook says the NCAA tournament is basically a new season.  “It’s a three-week season right now,” Cook said yesterday in Austin.  “We’re in week two of it.”

You can hear tonight’s action on News Talk 900 KJSK.  First serve is set for 8:30 p.m. with the pregame starting at 8 o’clock.  The winner will advance to Saturday’s regional final against the winner of tonight’s semifinal between Texas and Washington.
