Cook Credits Seniors For Holding Team Together

Nebraska’s volleyball club is finally set to open its pandemic-delayed season a week from tomorrow.
Huskers coach John Cook said at a news conference yesterday his team has been practicing for 12 days after having two weeks off for the holidays. He said with all the breaks and interruptions it has been a slower process building a team.
But, he credited NU’s senior leadership for how they’ve handled the long offseason. “This group has done a really, really good job,” Cook said. “And again I’m going to give our captains and seniors a ton of credit for holding it all together.”
The fifth-ranked Huskers are set to open their 22-match, 11-week season with a pair of matches at Indiana next Friday and Saturday. First serve times are still TBA.
