Columbus Seniors Win, Juniors Fall at Home vs. Hastings

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors doubled up Hastings 10-5 last night at Pawnee Park Legion Field. 

Cornerstone starter Jarret Bell pitched five innings, allowing one run on two hits and four walks, striking out six.  Columbus third baseman Grant Zoucha was 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs and a stolen base.  Right fielder Matthew Kinnison and catcher Carter Renteria each drove in two runs for Cornerstone, which is now 6-4. 

The OneNebraska Federal Credit Union Junior Blues were held to three hits in a 5-0 loss to Hastings.  The loss evened the Junior Blues’ record at 2-2. 

Both Columbus teams are set to play at Kearney tonight.
