Columbus Seniors Drop Pair of Games at Fremont
The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors were swept in a doubleheader at Fremont yesterday.
Cornerstone was defeated 10-4 in the opening game and 11-4 in the second contest. The Seniors slipped to 12-9 on the season.
Meanwhile, after losing their first game in a tournament at Sioux Falls, South Dakota this weekend, the Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues won the next three. The Junior Blues were downed by Brandon Valley 9-1 on Friday. Columbus posted two wins on Saturday, 10-2 over Fargo and 6-3 over Hopkins. The Junior Blues finished with a 9-7 victory over Renner on Sunday. The Juniors are 10-11.
Both Columbus Legion teams are scheduled to visit Grand Island on Wednesday.
