Columbus’ Outdoor Sports Facilities To Reopen June 8

Outdoor sports facilities in Columbus will reopen next Monday. 

In a news release yesterday, the city announced the June 8th reopening date for city-owned parks, park equipment and outdoor sports facilities.  They had been closed for about two-and-a-half months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The city said it will not be sanitizing or cleaning the facilities and equipment in the parks.  The release added: “By choosing to use, conduct and participate in activities in the parks and sports facilities you are accepting that risk for yourself and your children.” 

The Columbus Aquatic Center will not be reopening on Monday.
