Columbus Junior Blues Win Twice, Junior Reds Fall Thursday

Thursday was a good day for the Columbus Junior Blues, but a rough night for the Junior Reds at Pawnee Park Legion Field. 

The OneNebraska Junior Blues swept a doubleheader against North Platte.  Columbus took the opening game 10-9 in five innings.  Third baseman Connor Williams was 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs.  The Junior Blues completed the sweep with a 6-2 victory.  Dayton Snyder pitched a six-inning complete game, giving up two earned runs on four hits, walking one and fanning four. 

The Junior Blues are 4-3 and entertain Fremont Sunday at 1 p.m. 

The Columbus Owens Wealth Advisors Junior Reds fell to the Millard Black Sox 9-0 in five innings.  The Junior Reds are now 6-2 and will host the Millard Gold Sox Saturday in a twin bill starting at 5 p.m.
