Columbus Junior Blues Beat Fremont on Sunday

The Columbus OneNebraska Junior Blues defeated Fremont 5-3 on Sunday at Pawnee Park Legion Field. 

Trailing 1-0, the Junior Blues scored all five of their runs in the third inning.  Fremont scored twice in the top of the fifth to account for the final score.  Columbus first baseman Jayce Nelson had a double and three RBI.  The Junior Blues improved to 5-3. 

They’re scheduled to host Grand Island Tuesday at 5 p.m. with the Columbus Cornerstone Seniors game to follow around 7:30. 

Meanwhile, the Lakeview Bank of the Valley Juniors home game against Pierce Friday night was postponed by rain, with no make-up date decided.  On Saturday, the Columbus Owens Wealth Advisors Junior Reds home doubleheader against the Millard Sox Gold was also postponed.
