Columbus Baseball’s Rally Comes Up Short

Columbus High’s baseball team trailed Lincoln Southwest 5-0 entering the bottom of the fifth inning last night.  The Discoverers scored two runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth, but wound up falling 5-4.

An unearned run in the top of the fifth off CHS reliever Trey Kobza turned out to be the difference in the game.  Columbus’ record evened at 8-8.

The Discoverers entertain Hastings today.  First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at Pawnee Park Field.
