DAVID CITY- Five people have been injured after a collision on Highway 92.

On Tuesday at 7:00 a.m., the Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle that had struck a train on Highway 92 near mile marker 420. The initial investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling westbound when it ran into the northbound train. The driver of the westbound vehicle along with four passengers were transported to the Butler County Health Care Center. Three were then transported to a Lincoln Hospital. The Highway was closed south of David City between Highway 15 and 81 for over 5 hours.

The crash is being investigated.
