College Volleyball Weekend Recap

In college volleyball, Nebraska swept Iowa in three sets Saturday afternoon at the Devaney Center. 

The Huskers are now 8-3 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.  NU stays at home to meet Michigan this Friday in a match you can hear on News Talk 900 KJSK. 

Meanwhile, Creighton won its eighth straight match with a 3-0 sweep at Xavier on Saturday.  The Bluejays are 14-1, including a 2-0 mark in the Big East.  CU will face St. John’s on Friday. 

And CCC lost all three matches it played at this weekend’s Cowely Invitational Tournament.  The Raiders were edged 3-2 by Carl Sandburg College and were swept in three sets by Cisco College and Cowley County CC.  Central is 8-11 and will host the University of Nebraska-Kearney JV on Wednesday night.
