College Baseball: NU in Minneapolis, CU in California

Nebraska’s baseball team is taking on a talented field at the Cambria College Classic at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis this weekend. 

The 3-3-1 Huskers are facing No. 7 Vanderbilt today, Hawaii tomorrow and fourth-ranked Ole Miss on Sunday.  NU’s games against Vandy and Ole Miss will be the first-ever meetings between the programs.  Hawaii has gone 15-8 against Nebraska in the all-time series, dating back to 1978. 

Creighton’s baseball club opens a three-game series at Cal State Northridge today.  The Bluejays are 3-3 after their first two road series of the season.  The Matadors have won five of their first six games. 

The Jays are 1-2 in the all-time series, with the three games being played in 1991 and ‘92.
