Class B State Bowling Team Tournament Results

Three area teams competed in yesterday’s Class B state bowling team championships. 

In boys action, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family went 0-2.  The eighth-seeded Bulldogs were defeated 3-1 by top-seeded York and fell to No. 4 seed Lexington 3-0. 

In the girls team tournament, H/LHF lost to No. 1 seed Wayne 3-0, but bounced back to beat Omaha Duchesne, before falling to Hastings in the quarterfinals.  Fifth-seeded Howells-Dodge downed Duchesne 3-2, but then fell to Wayne and Hartington-Newcastle. 

Three local bowlers will compete in today’s state singles championships.  Gavin Unger of Columbus High qualified in Class A, while Lakeview’s Daniel Borgman and Trenton Ditter made the Class B singles tourney.
