City High School Volleyball Weekend Recap

In prep volleyball, Lakeview won the Boone Central Invite on Saturday.  The Vikings recorded a trio of 2-0 wins over Central City, Stanton and Oakland-Craig.  Lakeview improved to 9-0 and will visit Battle Creek on Thursday. 

Scotus finished third after going 2-1 in its final three matches Saturday at the Malcolm Invitational that opened last Thursday. The Shamrocks beat Louisville 2-0, before losing to Lincoln Lutheran in two sets.  In the third place match, Scotus topped Elmwood-Murdock 2-1.  The ‘Rocks host Aquinas on Thursday. 

And Columbus High went 1-2 this weekend at the Bellevue East Invite.  After losing in two sets to both Bellevue West and Lincoln High on Friday, the Discoverers defeated Omaha South 2-0 on Saturday.  CHS is 6-10 and entertains Kearney tomorrow.
