Of her returning starters, head coach Jeri Otten says junior Paighton Erb has “played every position under the sun” and senior outside hitter Ayla Janssen’s offensive game has “gotten stronger and stronger each year.” Otten says Grayson Gentile and Taytum Miller are strong blockers and “have come around offensively.” Senior Mallory Brittenham is a new starter this season for Columbus.
Play-by-play of the Discoverers season lid-lifter against the Tigers tonight will be broadcast on KLIR 101. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. Also tonight, the Scotus volleyball club gets its season underway with a visit to Kearney Catholic.
