CHS Track and Field Teams Both Place Third in Seward

The Columbus High boys and girls track and field teams both finished third at Saturday’s Concordia Indoor Invitational.
The Discoverers boys had 68 points, finishing just two points behind Lincoln Southeast for second – 33 points behind meet champion Fremont. Santos Gonzalez won a gold medal by placing first in the discus.
The girls team posted 50 points, while meet champion Lincoln Southwest had 160. Elizabeth Wemhoff finished first in the 200 meter dash and second in the 60 meters.
