Columbus High’s soccer clubs both suffered losses on Friday.
The Discoverers boys were edged by Omaha Burke 1-0 at the Millard South Invite. That snapped a three-match winning streak for Columbus, which fell to 9-3. CHS will visit Kearney tomorrow.
In girls’ action, the Discoverers dropped a home match to Lincoln Southwest, 2-0. It was also the Columbus girls’ first loss in the last four matches as they slipped to 9-4. The Discoverers girls will play a make-up match at Lincoln Northeast on Wednesday.
