CHS Soccer Clubs Each Win Close Matches Thursday

The Columbus High boys soccer club needed overtime to post a 2-1 win at Fremont.
Nicholas Bennett led the Discoverers with a goal and an assist. CHS is now 3-0.
Meanwhile, the Columbus girls won their second straight shootout. The Discoverers got by Papillion-La Vista 4-3 at CHS. The match was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation and each team scored a goal in overtime, before Columbus won the shootout 4-1.
Joey Long had one goal and two assists for the Discoverers, who won their fourth straight match and improved to 4-1.
