CHS Grapplers, Swimmers All Fall at Norfolk High

Columbus High’s wrestling team suffered a 51-25 loss in a dual at Norfolk High last night.

After the Discoverers took a 4-0 lead on Cadyn Kucera’s major decision, the Panthers won the next five matches by pin to jump in front 30-4.

CHS won the next three matches, including pins by Blayze Standley and Liam Blaser to pull within eight points, but Norfolk rallied with four straight wins – three on pins – to pull away.

It was also Discoverers against Panthers in prep swimming last night, with the Columbus boys and girls both falling at Norfolk.  The CHS girls were downed 119-57, while the Discoverers boys fell 109-60.
