CHS Girls Soccer Downed by Pius in HAC Third Place Match

The Columbus High girls soccer team fell to Lincoln Pius X 3-1 last night. The loss came in the third place match of the Heartland Athletic Conference gold division tournament.
Discoverers freshman Molly Goc had the lone goal for Columbus, which went 0-2 in the tourney. CHS is 7-5 on the season. The Discoverers visit Kearney tomorrow evening to make up a match that was postponed on March 28th.
Meanwhile, the Columbus boys face Lincoln Southeast today in the third place match. The Discoverers are 7-2 on the year after falling to Lincoln East 2-0 in Tuesday night’s opening round.
