Jacey Hughes fired a 91, one stroke better than Columbus High teammate Sarah Lasso, and the Discoverers girls golf team won an 18-hole triangular yesterday at Norfolk Country Club. 

On a hot day, the CHS varsity posted a team score of 382.  The host Panthers finished with a 409, while Fremont’s team tally was 460. 

Norfolk’s Kylie Blume shot an 87 for the top individual score.  Kaidence Spiegel had the third best day individually for Columbus, as she carded a 95. 

The Discoverers will be back in action Friday, competing in the Kearney Invite at Awarii Dunes Golf Course in Axtell.
