CHS Girls Fall in OPS Title Tilt, Prep Hoops on KZ-100 Tonight
The Columbus High girls basketball team suffered its first loss of the season in the championship game of the OPS Invitational last night.
The Discoverers only trailed Omaha Westview 28-22 after three quarters, but the Wolverines pulled away in the final period to win 46-29. Charli Preister had 12 points to lead Columbus, which slipped to 2-1.
The Discoverers girls and boys teams will visit Lincoln Southeast Friday. You can hear the action on KLIR 101, starting with the girls game at 5:30 p.m.
High school hoops is on KZ-100 tonight, as Archangels’ teams play at rival Riverside. The girls tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
